The formal announcement of this important decision by UNESCO will be made on December 10 at the Red Fort in Delhi. On this occasion, a festive atmosphere akin to Diwali will be celebrated across the country. The Delhi government has also started preparations for extensive and grand programs for this celebration.

A grand Diwali festival is going to be organized at Delhi Haat, and a grand ceremony of lighting lamps will be held at the Red Fort. Additionally, decorations with lights will be done at major squares and roads in Delhi. Special lighting will also be done on all government buildings in Delhi on the occasion of Diwali. The Chief Minister and the entire cabinet will attend the Diwali festival program at Delhi Haat.

The Delhi government has appealed to all citizens to participate in this with enthusiasm, harmony, prosperity, and cultural unity. This decision is considered not only for the Diwali festival but also as a global recognition of the diverse splendor of Indian culture.
